Essence of Christmas

Children’s caroling. Exchanging gifts. Bright Lights. Lanterns. Santa Claus. Spreading love and positivity. Cold breeze. Rings a bell? Well, its CHRISTMAS TIME! Few days from now, we’ll again celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. What’s the real essence of Christmas? Do you know?

The true essence of Christmas is not gifts. Not even the things that you do. Not the decoration that makes your house look good. The essence of Christmas lies in the name of Almighty the Lord above. Christmas is the spirit of giving without the thought of getting. It is happiness because we see joy in people. It is forgetting self and finding time for others. It is discarding the meaningless and stressing the true values.

Christmas is a time to renew bonds of love. It’s a great time to use that love to build bridges of understanding, acceptance and forgiveness.
